The Airport Ninja Bike Travel Case

The Airport Ninja Bike Travel Case

Compact and discreet, the Airport Ninja is the world’s stealthiest bike travel case. But that doesn’t mean it skimps on protection. Beneath the 1680-denier ballistics nylon shell is hard plastic armor and multi-density foam to shield your prized possession from the pressure, sharp impacts, and drops it might experience on its way from the check-in counter to baggage claim. Foam wheel dividers and a fork pocket keep these parts of the bike separate and protected during transport. Padded backpack straps help you shoulder the load comfortably. The case expands in width so there’s room to pack extra equipment or souvenirs, and when empty can compress down to 2” for convenient storage.

Say goodbye to bike fees. Become an Airport Ninja.

In order to provide you with the smallest possible case for your bike, we have created two sizes of Airport Ninja:
Medium - fits road and CX bikes up to ~58cm
Large - fits 60-63cm road bikes and up to a large 29er or 650B mountain bike

Certain geometries might require sizing up, such as 'comfort' or 'touring' geometries which have relatively long head tubes and/or chain stays. Enter your bike information during checkout to help us verify compatibility. If you have specific requests or notes you can use this space at checkout to provide these as well. If you have any questions regarding sizing, please email us at info@orucase.com

Handling & Shipping Times

Orders currently ship in 1-2 business days. Our standard service is UPS Ground, which takes 2-5 business days depending on how far one is from our headquarters in San Diego. If you plan to travel with the case in less than two weeks, it's best to email us to confirm shipping speed beforehand.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping service is available for $75. We use UPS Next Day Air. We can often ship expedited orders same-day, but depending on the time the order is placed, it might not go out until the next day. If you need your case ASAP, it's best to place the order immediately and email us right away outlining your time constraints. We will do our best to give you the fastest possible service. If we are unable to fulfill your order within the necessary time constraints, we can refund you.

Will the Airport Ninja fit my bike?

The Airport Ninja fits almost all sizes of road, cyclocross, track, or XC/Trail mountain bike. There are some larger bikes such as downhill mountain bikes, fat bikes, and extra-extra-large road bikes that will not fit. If you are concerned you may be in one of these categories, please email us for more information.

Is the Airport Ninja a custom bike case?

The Airport Ninja is not a custom bike case. We used to make the cases one at a time and to-order, but as we've grown we've transitioned our manufacturing to maintain inventory so we can better serve our customers' needs.

Do you ship internationally? How long does it take?

Yes. We ship all over the world from our headquarters in San Diego, California. Standard-rate international shipments typically take 7-14 days to arrive. However, it is best not to rely on these estimates because customs processing and transfer to the local courier can be unpredictable. Expedited service is available for those who require a faster delivery.

Is The Airport Ninja safe for use with carbon bikes?

Yes! In all stages of the development of the Airport Ninja, we tested the product with our own carbon bikes. It has thicker foam padding than any other soft case on the market, and it is the only one with hard plastic protective side panels. As with any bike, please pay careful attention to our packing instructions to ensure your bike a safe voyage.

Do I need to be a mechanic to pack my bike in the Airport Ninja?

While a basic level of mechanical skills is required, by no means do you need to be a bike shop mechanic to use our case. First time use can be intimidating but you will get the hang of it in no time! We’ve found that if you’re uncomfortable disassembling your bike it sometimes helps to take photos of the process as you progress so that you have something to reference if you're in doubt when it comes time for your first reassembly.

What is your return policy?

The satisfaction of our customers is our highest priority. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, contact us immediately and we will do our best to fix the problem.

For all our products, we offer a 30-day return policy. To be eligible for a refund, the item must be in new and unused condition, and must be return postmarked within 30 days of initial delivery. A 10% restocking fee will be charged for non-warranty-related returns (exceptions apply).

For bike travel cases, new and unused condition means the case can be test-packed at home, but not traveled with. Also for bike cases, we require that the return be shipped in the original box, or return shipping fees may apply.

What do I do if I cannot get my bike to fit in the case?

Please practice packing your bike as soon as possible after you receive the case. In case you have difficulty packing your bike, this will minimize the chances your travel plans will be affected. Contact us at info@orucase.com and we will do our best to help troubleshoot your problems. In the event that the case is too small for your bike, we can exchange for a larger size, or refund your order, after we receive back the unused case.

"I’ve lost count of how many times the Airport Ninja has accompanied me on both domestic and international trips, and I have yet to be charged or suffer any damage upon arrival... The fact that it lets me bring test bikes helps me keep the review process on track, too."

"In practice, it took us about 10 minutes longer to build our bike compared with our traveling companion, who had a more conventional case. She paid about $400 in fees to fly to France and back with her bike. Our Airport Ninja slipped by unnoticed."

"Over many months of travels, with multiple flights, the Orucase Airport Ninja has shown itself to be durable and reliable transport for my bike, it has become my go-to bag anytime I travel with my bike."
